Learning Space Design

Create innovative learning spaces

We help educational institutions break out of the mould by creating learning environments designed for 21st century learning.

Built environments play a significant role in the way students and teachers interact during learning.

Increasingly, traditional classroom and school layouts, designed with order, uniformity, and discipline in mind, are becoming ill-equipped to handle the needs of 21st century teaching and learning.

As technology in learning becomes more common—such as through the usage of smart boards, personal devices, and online educational resources—learning has also become more collaborative and interactive.

Classrooms and learning spaces need to reflect this change in ethos in tangible ways, by creating environments that foster discussion, exploration, and creativity in students, and building learners who are confident, adaptable, independent and inspired to learn.

Our Goal

Our goal is to enable schools to maximise student engagement and participation, by co-creating conducive learning environments that facilitate collaboration and creativity.

Our Expertise

We bring both an educator’s intuition and an architectural eye to learning space design, which allows us to reimagine school spaces with a nuanced yet practical approach. Drawing on our experience as educators, we have a keen appreciation of the relationship between form, function, and its impact on learning experiences.

Promote inclusive and collaborative learning

Learning spaces that facilitate group discussions encourage students to develop a culture of collaboration and inclusion. Previously underutilised spaces are often easily remodelled into open-plan informal learning areas that can serve as individualised learning environments as well as organic discussion spaces.

Seamlessly integrate technology into classrooms and study spaces

Encourage peer learning and information sharing among students by creating technology-rich study spaces that are designed with hybrid learning in mind. Schools can further develop students’ digital literacy and citizenship skills by providing integrated spaces that enable easy access to digital devices and online resources.
